The Texas Senate has released its current quarter-trillion budget draft for the next biennium. Of first concern is that it includes only 56 percent of the amount of money needed to fund TEXAS grant scholarships for qualifying students. This is down from 80-plus percent during recent biennia. Please ask your legislators to increase scholarship availability.
