Poorer Students now the Norm in Texas Colleges



More than half of students enrolled in colleges are poor, state Commissioner of Higher Education Raymund Paredes said in a media call last week. As a result, there is an increase of students eligible for Pell grants and colleges are responding by providing pantries and clothes closets for students.
