SB 25, the 'transfer credit' bill doesn't solve all the issues with students transferring credit between higher education institutions. On the bright side, it could create in-roads that can lead to real change in the future due to the data it's designed to create.
The Bill passed both Texas Houses, so it's time to take a serious look at the expectations. The TX House Higher Education Committee provided TACT with the Key Provisions outlined in SB 25, including the reporting requirements, degree planning advising, course sequences, data sharing and more.
